A Battle of Information

Welcome to the fourth edition of "What if a Small Thing Changed?" This is the weekly segment that asks the question, 'what if a small thing changed?' By asking the question, 'what if a small thing changed?', we will find out what disastrous or non-consequential things may occur with the changing of a small and simple thing. If you have not followed so far, I would ask whether you cannot apply yourself to an activity appropriate of your attributes; like apple-bobbing.

For this edition, the quartern of this blog, we do not need to look far. In fact, we only need to look to the search engine that provides this blog's annoying adverts as seen over there --> and down below. Daniel has suggested that this edition should focus on Google (an interesting discussion for the information age, have a potato young Daniel!). Now, we all know Google is a business behemoth, and by slowly buying our social networking and multimedia websites, it is passively taking over the world.

But what if a small thing changed? What if, one day, Google had no answers?! In all my wisdom and knowledge, I hold the horrifying answers. Do you want to know the answers? Do you? DO YOU?!?! Then, read on...

Firstly, the stumping of this magnificent search engine would force it to overload. Even with all the protections put in place to stop this, the fact that Google does not have an answer would be too much for it to process, at least for an hour. With this massive gap in the online world, someone would need to provide a search engine up to the quality of Google (sorry Yahoo, you just don't cut the mustard).

Enter, Facebook Discover. This information conglomerate of Facebook and Discovery Communications would launch the product that they have been secretly working on for the last four years. This mix between social networking and an all powerful search engine with special focus on products of Discovery Communications.

Eventually, the Chinese workers of Facebook and Discovery Communications would reveal their true intentions by taking over the companies through the force of samurai swords (yes, they would use the Japanese weapon for their gain!), and in 42 months, Thailand will take over the world because China was working for them all along!

I dread to see the day when Thailand rules the world, and I'm forced to be more culturally diverse. So Google, for all our sake, stay all-knowing and glorious!

The Sum of All Worth

Welcome to the third edition of "What if a Small Thing Changed?" This is the weekly segment that asks the question, 'what if a small thing changed?' By asking the question, 'what if a small thing changed?', we will find out what disastrous or non-consequential things may occur with the changing of a small and simple thing. If you have not followed so far, I would query as to whether you can do something quantified to your qualifications; like quacking .

For this edition, subsequent to the subsequence of the blog's genesis, we must look to our day-to-day lives and the economy it entails. Nicole has suggested that, this day, we should discuss money (not the most philosophical subject Nicole, but extra points for being so clever!). Now, we all use money to live and to survive. We all have a little packed in our pocket as a precaution, whether from precious pitfalls, or just a picked up psycho-trait.

But what if a small thing changed? What if, one day, the money weighed its worth?! In all my wisdom and knowledge, I hold the horrifying answers. Do you want to know the answers? Do you? DO YOU?!?! Then, read on...

Firstly, no one would be willing to carry their worldly weights. This would lead to a severe reduction in New York muggings. As such, the Big Apple would become one of the safest places in the world to live. However, too few transactions would take place resulting in the sufferance and eventual collapse of the world economy.

As the years go on, fewer and fewer people would care about the things of the world and people would embrace peace, harmony and thinking, as opposed to war, contention and politics. The world will finally sit and look at itself while, in three months, Nepal will take over the world with its policies of peace as the driving force.

I dread to see the day when Nepal rules the world, and happiness dwells throughout. So money, for all our sake, stay light and sparky!

Doctor, doctor! What's the matter?

Welcome to the second edition of "What if a Small Thing Changed?" This is the weekly segment that asks the question, 'what if a small thing changed?' By asking the question, 'what if a small thing changed?', we will find out what disastrous or non-consequential things may occur with the changing of a small and simple thing. If you have not followed so far, I would suggest you do something suited to your stupidity; like skipping.

For this edition, subsequent to the blog's genesis, we must look to our sick days from school and work. Natalie has suggested that, this day, we should discuss Dr. Phil (or, as she incorrectly spelt, Dr. Phill. Marks lost for that Natalie, but points for such an exquisite topic!). Now, we all know that the marvellous Dr. Phil is a mastermind of the human mind. He knows our thoughts, thinks of our knowledge, and saves us from ourselves.

But what if a small thing changed? What if, one day, the doctor got stumped?! In all my wisdom and knowledge, I hold the horrifying answers. Do you want to the answers? Do you? DO YOU?!?! Then, read on...

The first, and most crucial factor, is that the audience would not applause! The doctor would see this, and try to create information and diagnose from the top of his shiny head. The audience would know this is wrong and would start booing. Immediately, CBS would cancel the entire series. This would force Oprah to go broke for reasons you readers cannot fathom. Also, the audience would begin to riot and Los Angeles would fall into chaos yet again.

As the years go on, more and more people would begin to riot. Hollywood would lose all the power it holds and no more Hollywood movies (they stopped being films years ago) would be made. All actors (I use the term loosely) from Hollywood would try their hand at stage acting in New York. The sudden influx of people on the Eastern seaboard would flip the North American continent over and a tidal wave would ride the Atlantic Ocean before decimating western Africa. This will lead to people becoming frog-human hybrids under North America, and in 12 years, India will take over the world using Bollywood as the driving force.

I dread to see the day when India rules the world. So Phillip, for all our sake, keep thinking our thoughts!

Introduction: Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking B1?

Welcome to the first edition of "What if a Small Thing Changed?" These will be weekly segments that ask the question, 'what if a small thing changed?' By asking the question, 'what if a small thing changed?', we will find out what disastrous or non-consequential things may occur with the changing of a small and simple thing. If you have not followed so far, I would suggest you do something crafted to your intellectual capacity; like colouring.

For this first edition, we must look back to our childhood. Bananas in Pyjamas were a staple in my house during my earlier years. One of the best parts of the program was when B2 would ask the question "Are you thinking what I'm thinking B1?", to which B1 would reply "I think I am B2". The duo would then simultaneously say "It's *insert activity hear* time!"

But what if a small thing changed? What if, one day, the Bananas said different things?! In all my wisdom and knowledge, I hold the horrifying answers. Do you want to the answers? Do you? DO YOU?!?! Then, read on...

The first, and most crucial factor is that the Bananas would begin to argue. Who is right? What time is it? No one would hold the answers. The Bananas would fall out with each other leading this educational program falling to pieces. Children worldwide would lose their faith in educational children's television show. No one would be willing to watch these programs and so the education system for pre-schoolers would crumble. Later on, this generational educational gap would cross into mainstream schools. The pupils would still be bitter towards the concept of learning and, as such, would not take in the knowledge being preached.

As the years go on, these people must enter the workforce. Their lack of education will mean many accidents and deaths in the labour intensive industries. This means that farm work will not be done, leading to a deficiency in nutrition worldwide. Clothing would not be made leading to death by frozition in cold climates, and death by toomuchsunism in hot climates. This will lead to cannibalism and theft for survival, and in 437 years, Peru will take over the world.

I dread to see the day when Peru rules the world. So Bananas, for all our sake, keep thinking alike!
